Liked the general pacing of the story as well as the in-depth characterisation of the main POV's. Wasn't expecting in to be Christina Fiction. Did I miss the disclaimer? I might be wrong, but I just wasn't prepared for it. Other than that, it was a good story and I am already reading book 2.
