"Who has ever heard of Norma Cenva? ... You think a man designed the first Guild ship? Your history books told you it was Aurelius Venport? They lied. It was his mistress, Norma. She gave him the design, along with five children. He thought his ego would take no less. In the end, the knowledge that he had not really fulfilled his own image, that was what destroyed him." - God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert.

Blackout: A Tale Of Survival In A Powerless World- Book 1 by Alexandria Clarke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Story is going strong! Really enjoyed the world-building and the characters. This book is on a shorter side of what I usually read, but it was really worth it! Already reading book 2.

Review: War's End: A Brave New World
War's End: A Brave New World by Christine D. Shuck
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Actual Rating 3.5 Stars.
I really enjoyed the time jumps in this one! They flow really well with the overall story. Still feels really preachy and it was a bit more difficult to read for me then the Book 1 as I have noticed several very concerning statements and reactions from the POV's. But to be honest, yes they do connect to their religious (Christian) believes and the societal developments as a whole in the story, so are understandable... just worrying. I don't know if I will continue with Book 3, still thinking about it!

War's End: The Storm by Christine D. Shuck

Liked the general pacing of the story as well as the in-depth characterisation of the main POV's. Wasn't expecting in to be Christina Fiction. Did I miss the disclaimer? I might be wrong, but I just wasn't prepared for it. Other than that, it was a good story and I am already reading book 2.

Audio-book edition: Still getting used to the new narration and the new story line that was introduced. Developing nicely! Will probably improve (fingers crossed) with the new instalments ahead.
