The Last Days of Magic by Mark Tompkins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was my first buy of 2018. I was very excited to read it. It blends fiction and fact (from a Pagan perspective) smoothly, and is well written. It is very nice to read about many Goddesses that the Avalonian Tradition remembers to this day - Banbha, Bridget, Cailleach (although the mispronunciation in the audio version was driving me crazy thou!) among many others. Relevant artistic licence reconstruction of the Celtic traditions and early Irish life were great to read through. The story was engaging and did not drag on unnecessarily. All in all it was a pleasant experience and time well spent!
