Chasing Black Unicorns. How building the Amazon of Africa put me on Interpol's Most Wanted list by Marek Zmyslowski

This was so interesting! And very unusual.
A wild-ride of a read for sure.
Enjoyable, educational and funny at times.

"Who has ever heard of Norma Cenva? ... You think a man designed the first Guild ship? Your history books told you it was Aurelius Venport? They lied. It was his mistress, Norma. She gave him the design, along with five children. He thought his ego would take no less. In the end, the knowledge that he had not really fulfilled his own image, that was what destroyed him." - God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert.

25/01/2020 re-read Edit: I am now re-listening to this is the GraphicAudio presentation and it's Magical! Am so excited for them to start releasing Book 2 in the series in February 2020. Excited x
29/01/202 - I am very impressed with the GA production. Great voice-work hence an added star! Lady J. prayer scene made me all emotional, especially with the Charge of the Goddess being performed in such a way... really powerful! Am all in for the new upcoming version of book 2!
After multiple re-reads, I am at it again. Time to re-remember the whole story again! Plus, just got the news of the last book in the series being released by the end of the year (about October 2018), and already pre-ordered it! Will refresh all the important details and meet favourite characters again. It is always a delight for me to come back to this Universe as I enjoy it so much x Blessed Be x

I really liked this! It was great to follow a young character who was not annoying for a change! I do hope the Series will continue as I am interested in how the story will develop further down the road.

Great to see Sci-Fi with more disability representation! it was a good story and interesting variation on what can possibly happen. I really liked how the world building would reveal itself throughout the story. Overall a good read indeed!

Linguistically this book is very well done! I am actually very sad I couldn't make myself to like it more. I will defo check out other books by this Author. I did appreciate the psychological build-up in the story very much.

Great year filled with AMAZING books! I think this year in particular was the one where Books were the only thing that kept me hanging and got me out of a very deep bout of severe clinical depression.
Am excited for 2020 which is already filling up nicely with good books!

Review: How to Date Your Dragon
How to Date Your Dragon by Molly Harper
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Was recommended to me when I was on a look-out for a light-hearted read while travelling. Good story, fun, and interesting world-building. I won't be continuing the Series, but if you want to read something well-written and "clean" this one might be for you.

An Extreme Medical Services Christmas: A Short Story About Supernatural Paramedic Dean Flynn by Jamie Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The audiobook version of this was perfect length for my work commute. I really missed this universe and after being on a home stretch of Book 7 just wanted something light for the festive period. Can't believe the Series is over! Then again there might be other books in the series in the future and if there will be I will always buy them!
