It felt a bit rushed in the ending, otherwise fine, hope there will be Book 3 to finish all of it off!

"Who has ever heard of Norma Cenva? ... You think a man designed the first Guild ship? Your history books told you it was Aurelius Venport? They lied. It was his mistress, Norma. She gave him the design, along with five children. He thought his ego would take no less. In the end, the knowledge that he had not really fulfilled his own image, that was what destroyed him." - God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert.

Review: London
London by Frank Tayell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Re-read: Gave this series another go. Liked that there is now a US story as well, will read it straight after this one! The story in Book 1 is a solid first instalment in the series. I think it has a good chance to develop further in later books and become more multi-dimensional. On to book 2 now!

Review: Zombies vs The Living Dead
Zombies vs The Living Dead by Frank Tayell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Actual Rating 3.5 Stars
I really liked the story, it was nicely written and the characters were well fleshed-out for a short story. it gave more believability to the bigger story in the series and is a good companion contributing to the world-building. P.S. Elderly zombies were an interesting addition, an original take on ablism for sure!

Khetag's Sanctuary Forest in North Ossetia by Margarita Dzodzikova
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Please note, the formatting and especially the translation in this book is VERY poorly done. It has some good info but the translation spoils everything!

Review: Extreme Medical Services Box Set Vol 4 - 6: The Saga of Supernatural Paramedic Dean Flynn Continues
Extreme Medical Services Box Set Vol 4 - 6: The Saga of Supernatural Paramedic Dean Flynn Continues by Jamie Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I am enjoying this series so much. Plus, the details, in the medical parts are great too! Educational & fun. I hope the series will continue with more books and the audiobook is very well done. This series is not perfect, but I definitely got a couple of emotional reactions and love the characters even more now, and this is why I read/listen books!

Review: Cyber's Change: Sapiens Run Book 1
Cyber's Change: Sapiens Run Book 1 by Jamie Davis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Actual Rating 3.5 Stars
I liked the story and the romance was refreshingly realistic in parts but one thing that ruined it for me was inconsistent world-building. Mentions of "racism" most of all were a piss-off. In a way it was mentioned, it was not racism, it was maybe "cyberism" or "cyberphobia" but not racism! As being a cyber is not a race, for Goddess sake! So, why was the world used? Was it so difficult to stay consistent, really? I don't believe this! I will be checking out the other 2 books in the series, yes. But my expectations are now lowered. The audiobook version was really good, with amazing voice work, but it still did not help with the over-preachiness of it all. If you are OK with being annoyed a lot while reading, go ahead, the story IS good. Just my thoughts...
