"Who has ever heard of Norma Cenva? ... You think a man designed the first Guild ship? Your history books told you it was Aurelius Venport? They lied. It was his mistress, Norma. She gave him the design, along with five children. He thought his ego would take no less. In the end, the knowledge that he had not really fulfilled his own image, that was what destroyed him." - God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert.

Review: Better Homes and Corpses: A Hamptons Home & Garden Mystery
Better Homes and Corpses: A Hamptons Home & Garden Mystery by Kathleen Bridge
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I liked this book a lot. I am not usually into murder mysteries, but this read was entertaining enough. I enjoyed the main heroine, she was interesting to observe, and as a person with hearing difficulties myself, it is so uplifting and surprising to see that particular disability portrayed in an empowering way! The story was lovely, but what made this book for me personally was the reliability and vulnerability of the main character. You know, I probably will be looking forward to the next book in the series, plus, the format of the book itself was so convenient it was small enough to fit almost everywhere, specially on long commutes, and the cover design is very unique and calming.
