Review: The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story

The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story by Keith C. Blackmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was so f****** scary. It gave me the extended TWD episodes (you remember that one of the special short's with the nurse, right?), kinda vibe, but it was original in a completely different way. The sense of urgency and terror was very well written and enjoyable to read, it was both relatable and terrifying, and the characters were well fleshed out too. I was very lucky that this story was a free one, because I immediately bought the whole series, it looks like it will be quite a read, so will keep you posted!
If you want to try and see if this style of writing and exposition is your cup of tea, give it a go! You will not regret it.

Review: Midway

Midway Midway by Melanie Karsak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great intermediary while waiting for the book 2 in audio format. Gives the story a bit of a different twist. Unexpected surroundings to be honest, but it was fun, well... as much as a story like this can be "fun" thou, - you know what I mean, right? I just really enjoy how this story-universe is developed, and characters are really interesting and relatable too.

Review: The Harvesting

The Harvesting The Harvesting by Melanie Karsak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book so much, the portrayal of the main characters had so much detail and it was so accurate (in relation to the old immigration wave, older generation immigrants). I will be waiting for book 2 in audio, because for me personally the audio version of the story is so much better. Who knew, that by complete chance, I will be able to find a gem!

Review: The Symmetry of Snowflakes

The Symmetry of Snowflakes The Symmetry of Snowflakes by Paul Michael Peters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I enjoyed reading this book, the main character had quite a complicated backstory, that kept me both guessing and interested. It was nice to read something where good attention to detail is present, and where dialogues are believable and advance character arcs consistently.
Also the snowflake metaphor usage was masterful - very well done!
